Historical Data

The history of Derviziana starts long before the Ottoman occupation, but the years of Ottoman rule was what disturbed and determined once and for all the map of Lakka Souli.

The inhabitants of the village, in the years of Turkish cortex had renounced Christianism, had come to the well in the balance and protect the Turks, mingled with them, brought the world many mulattos Turks and constituted one of the most welcoming places of the conquerors. The aspirations however have not stopped there since they wanted to continually oppress their "neighbors" of Souli. That was their mistake.

On July 26th and after the meeting in Souli were elected 700 Soulians patriots whose mission is to enter to Derviziana and either take back the place either die in battle. The history of the area seemed to depend on how effective would be these 700 men. Soulians not only won the Turks and the enslaved people, but made sure to slaughter up to the last man. Women and children were not killed
